We decided to wander the Bywater area and came across Alma. When we peeked inside it looked warm, inviting and packed with happy people. We got lucky and the day was perfect for outdoor dining. Service was friendly and helpful and all the food was fresh hot and delicious. Honduran food is yummy and to me has a definitely Mexican association which is a great thing. I think you will love brunch here.
Absolutely phenomenal meal and service. 10/10 for the special huevos divorcidados. The salsa verde was absolutely incredible, my server mentioned this special may become a menu staple and I hope it does! The drink specials were also wonderful. The atmosphere and service was quiry and so cozy. I can't wait to return to try some more of these dishes!
As a local, this is my favorite go-to brunch (and lunch) spot! The food is always great - no matter what you get. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. I personally recommend the Baleadas Sencillas with mushrooms. I’m always impressed with what Chef comes up with for specials!

Absolutely delicious! Tasted a little like home while traveling! It's tough to find Central American cuisine in new cities so lucky to come across this place! Great coffee too!
Went there on a recommendation from my virginia friend who eats there whenever she is in Nola. I was told to ask for Mark the bartender. First of all Mark is so awesome and super friendly. His Bloody Mary was the best I have had. The food was equally amazing. I had eggs Benedict with crawfish and potatoes on the side with a spicy but balanced house sauce. It’s off the tourist trail but so worth the short trip. You won’t regret it and like my friend and me, you will be sure to recommend it to your favorite people!
A superb restaurant that consistently delivers fresh, authentic food that is absolutely delicious! The bar and coffee choices are equally superior! Highly recommended!
Came here as a part of a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the drinks were extraordinary.
Ate here for breakfast for the first-time and really enjoyed it.
Sat outside. waiter was very friendly. I had Charlotte's yogurt bowl, which was exceptional. comes with fresh seasonal fruit, granola, jam, and nuts.. healthy and delish. Hubby had breakfast tacos on toasted corn tortillas with eggs, avocado, sprouts, and honduras spicy sauce on the side, superb! fresh crooked brisket optional. Really unique food, delicious and fresh. highly recommend for breakfast and lunch. one negative, they have no green teas.
